In this project, we supported a Caribbean Island Police Force with the supply and export of a fleet of 12 fully equipped Suzuki V-Strom DL650 motorcycles, customised to meet their exact operational standards.

Project Brief
The police force required a fleet of versatile, durable motorcycles capable of supporting patrol, rapid response, and traffic operations. The specification included:
- 12 × Suzuki V-Strom DL650 motorcycles
- Emergency lighting and siren systems configured to force requirements
- Force-specific reflective livery and identification
- Operational accessories to enhance durability, safety, and equipment carrying capacity
Each motorcycle needed to be delivered fully prepared for immediate operational use on arrival.
Key Challenges
Delivering emergency service vehicles requires close attention to detail and careful coordination across multiple specialist suppliers.
1. Identifying the Correct Specification
The selected motorcycles needed to match performance expectations, operational durability, and accessory compatibility while ensuring availability and cost efficiency.
2. Force-Specific Emergency Equipment
The police force required:
- Beacons in specific colours and positioned according to left- and right-side operational requirements
- Sirens configured to replicate existing US-spec sound profiles for consistency with current fleet equipment
3. Custom Reflective Livery
A bespoke livery design was developed to ensure high visibility and long-term durability. This included:
- Force colours in reflective materials
- Custom police crest logos
- Operational text and identification applied directly to body panels
Sourcing and Conversion
To ensure the most competitive pricing and reliable supply, all motorcycles were sourced directly from the manufacturer.
We then coordinated a full conversion programme with a specialist third-party provider to prepare the bikes for frontline service. Additional operational equipment included:
- Centre stands for maintenance and stability
- Givi panniers for equipment storage
- Givi engine protection bars
- Givi under-cowling protection
- Aluminium chain guards
- Knuckle protection covers
This combination of protection and storage ensures the motorcycles can withstand demanding daily use in varied operating conditions.
Export Preparation and Protection
Given the value and operational importance of the fleet, careful export preparation was essential. Our team arranged:
- Custom-built protective crates for each motorcycle
- Heat-treated timber packaging to meet international export standards
- Secure container loading for shipment to the Caribbean
The custom crating solution provided maximum protection during handling and sea transit, ensuring the motorcycles arrived in excellent condition and ready for deployment.
